Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are an excellent solution for replacing one or more missing teeth. Designed to blend seamlessly with your existing teeth, they help maintain proper alignment and improve chewing and speaking abilities. We offer various options, including acrylic and metal, tailored to your needs and lifestyle.

Before we can start treatment for partial dentures, you will need to have seen a dentist recently who will provide a signed Certificate of Oral Health. This is due to the NZ Dental Council regulations and ensures that your remaining teeth and oral health are in good condition to support the denture.

Relines

Over time, your gums will change, causing dentures to feel loose or uncomfortable. A sign you may need a reline is if you heavily rely on denture glue to keep your denture in. Our reline service re-fits the base of your dentures to ensure a snug and secure fit, improving comfort and functionality.

Accidents happen, but you don’t have to worry. Our denture repair service can fix cracks, fractures, and broken teeth, restoring your dentures to their original state. We use durable materials and expert techniques to ensure a long-lasting repair. Many repairs can be completed on the same day if you book in advance.

Additions

If your dental situation changes, such as the loss of additional teeth, our additions service can modify your existing partial denture to accommodate the change. This includes adding new teeth or clasps to ensure your denture continues to function effectively.

Criteria for additions:

Must have an existing partial denture
Acrylic partial dentures are easier to add to
Depending on the metal denture design, it may need to be welded
Can be done as an immediate (before the tooth is extracted), but this requires planning with us and your dentist

Dental Appliances

We create a range of custom-made dental appliances to suit various needs, including:

Occlusal Bite Splints: Protect your teeth from grinding and clenching, reducing strain on your jaw. You must be referred from a dentist or dental specialist for this service.
Custom Mouth Guards: Custom-fit guards for sports or other protective needs, using high-quality Pro-form laminates. We also do custom designs!
Bleaching Trays: Designed for at-home teeth whitening treatments, ensuring even coverage and effective results.

Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures are designed to be fitted directly after tooth extractions, providing you with a natural-looking smile during the healing process. For the best results, follow-up adjustments and care are typically needed as your gums heal, change shape, and may irritate your gums.

Before proceeding with immediate dentures, a recent Certificate of Oral Health completed by a dentist is required. This ensures your oral health is suitable for the procedure and that any necessary extractions or treatments are planned appropriately.

You may be eligible for Immediate Dentures if:

You have current dentures and need to have teeth extracted
You have no dentures, but would like to get dentures
You don't want to go without teeth for a few weeks
You treat them as a temporary denture, and plan on getting a permanent denture soon after
